Friendship CMHC is centrally located in Phoenix, Arizona and is easily accessible to most of the communities in Greater Maricopa County. Friendship offers Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Outpatient Program services.
PHP is a specialized type of care designed to assist individuals in stabilizing after inpatient psychiatric treatment and/or to effectively prevent recurrent hospitalizations. Friendship offers two tracks of PHP. The morning track runs from 9:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday and the afternoon track runs from 2:00pm-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Transportation and meal services are provided for both tracks. An optional Saturday track is also offered from 9:15am-12:15pm to provide additional support to clients on the weekends. Transportation and meal services are also available for the Saturday program. PHP provides a minimum of 3 group counseling sessions/day, individual counseling interventions as needed, individualized treatment planning and coordination of care, and oversight by a licensed psychiatrist.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a less intensive level of care than a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), yet offers more support and structure than traditional outpatient services alone. The IOP program is designed for those individuals requiring less days/week of service but still needing the high quality group counseling, individual interventions, and coordination of care offered at the PHP level of care. The program hours are the same as the PHP schedule.
